Find Your Vehicle's Tire Information Placard

One of the things you need to consider when buying new tires is your vehicle's trim level. This is necessary since manufacturers select different sizes of wheels and tires for different trim levels.

If you are not sure about the trim level of your vehicle, you can still find the correct OE (original equipment) tire size that the manufacturer specifies.

All you have to do is find your vehicle's tire information placard, which provides information about OE tire sizes, including the spare, and the tire inflation pressures recommended by the automaker. If you aren't sure about the right tire size for your car, simply head over to our Ford service department for assistance from the experts!

If you own a newer vehicle, like the 2018 Ford Explorer, you are likely to find the placard on the driver's side door jamb, called the B-pillar. If there is no B-pillar, look for it on the rear edge of the driver's door. If the edge is too narrow to attach anything, then the placard should be placed on a surface facing inward next to the driver's seat.
